From Kasi to more extraordinary lengths

Kitsiso Seete

Kitsiso Seete, a 25-year-old from Tlhabane in Rustenburg who considers herself a ‘Kasi Intellect’, is a Lecturer, a leader, a performer, a playwright, and a youth issues activist.

Kitsiso's love for performing arts and advocating for youth issues started during high school as part of the ‘Radically different species’ society that dealt with issues that affected the youth through art performances.

She has participated in the theatre production "Art in Motion," performed at the "stop crime" drama festival in Mahikeng in 2011, and performed her script "Twist of Fate" at the Montagu Music Art Dance and Drama (M.M.A.D.D.) Festival in Cape Town, and her other script, "Untold Lessons", at the National Drama Festival in Grahamstown.

She co-founds and chairs "Peo Theatre and Film Production," a youth-empowering arts organization.

Kitsiso has also worked in radio and is a member of the South African Youth Council's task team in Bojanala. She believes in being where young people's issues are discussed and having a seat at the table.

From 2021 to the present, Kistiso has lectured at the Department of communication sciences at UNISA. She believes the privilege of a lifetime is to become who you truly are.
