The North West Province is eagerly preparing to host the 2023 Netball World Cup Trophy Tour from June 19-23. As part of this exciting event, the Platinum Province will receive the trophy from Free State, marking the beginning of the tour. Here is the schedule for the districts:
- June 19: Dr Kenneth Kaunda District
- June 20: Bojanala District
- June 21: Ngaka Modiri Molema District
- June 22: Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District
The Dr Ruth Segomotsi Mompati District will then hand the trophy to the Northern Cape Province.

“It is also to acquaint as many people as possible with the upcoming world sporting event. It will be the first Netball World Cup on African soil.”
“As we said in 2010, ‘Feel it, it is here.’ In 2023, we will say, "Feel it, it is here," you will witness the activations since the sport is important in bringing people together. And netball should be utilized to ensure the development of women's sports.
This has been a year of women in sports, with numerous athletic disciplines carrying the dreams of South Africans. This time, we are certain that our squad will do well in Cape Town," says Minister Kodwa.
