Thapelo Keorapetse Pule, known as Sistaboss, has had a remarkable journey in the arts and entertainment industry. She was born in the village of Chaneng in Rustenburg and later moved to Alexandra Township in north Joburg, where her artistic career began to flourish.
Sistaboss is a self-taught writer, poet, dancer, actress, producer, director, choreographer, facilitator, public speaker, and businesswoman. Her diverse skill set led her to venture into film and television production in 2013 after working with various production groups and organisations. She is passionate about building a legacy for her children and the South African youth.
She founded the Sistaboss Academy and Company, an Arts and Media Institute which provides arts education, workshops, artistic projects, and artists' incubation programs. Additionally, she is the Executive Producer of Sistaboss Concepts, a production, management, and consulting company that offers various services, including business development, media and brand services, project and event management, and video production.
Sistaboss also has a personal brand called "I am Sistaboss," where she practices her artistic work as a poet, writer, and speaker. This brand supports women's empowerment and encourages collaborations among women. Her empowering words and attitude are reflected in her mantra: "I am who I am, I am clever and resourceful, I am curious and daring, energetic with an appetite for adventure, alert with quick reflexes, not forgetting flexible.
I bring forth change because I don't allow myself to be boxed by boundaries and my enemies because I embody a fiery drive. I spark a fire in every situation, and when I enter a room, I command recognition because I am Sistaboss." She embodies qualities such as resilience, resourcefulness, curiosity, and drive. In her career history, she founded Merethetho Productions in 2008 as the director, choreographer, and scriptwriter.
