However, their efforts yielded no stolen items. Subsequently, the following night, they successfully located the Phalaphala farm and allegedly made away with US$580,000 after gaining illegal entry inside the property.
Imanuwela and Froliana were apprehended by the Directorate for Priority Crime Investigation (HAWKS) on separate occasions: Imanuwela was nabbed on Sunday and Froliana on Monday, as indicated in the NPA statement.
The proceedings at the Bela Bela Magistrates' Court on Tuesday led to the postponement of the case to November 10. This delay was granted to facilitate legal representation for Imanuwela and to formalize a bail application.
The accused's appearance in court follows an extensive investigation into the alleged theft at the Phalaphala farm, a property owned by Ramaphosa. The case has sparked public interest due to its association with the high-profile ownership of the farm and the substantial sum allegedly stolen.
