Mpho Mashego from Chaneng in Rustenburg, professionally known as “Zawadi the Art”, is a self-taught painter, writer, poet and activist. She is one of the cohorts for the Women Deliver Young Leaders Class of 2020.
She is the co-founder and co-CEO of The Queer Republic. She held her solo virtual exhibition, The Grand Entrance, in 2021. Her artworks have been showcased at Zeitz MOCAA's Home Is Where the Art Is group exhibition, the OBSIDIANA group exhibition by Madlozi Art Gallery in collaboration with Artsy, FAME Week CPT 2021 group exhibition.
She is a cast member of A Message for The Living Production and one of the featured artists in the THIS IS ME group exhibition. She is currently a nominee for the Woman of Worth Awards by Thuba Pelo Mosadi.
