Protea Hotel by Marriott hosts a cocktail dinner to appreciate their clients

Annually, the Global Customer Appreciation Week (GCAW) celebration is held by Marriot International Hotels around the world, where they take time to thank and appreciate their associates, clients and the communities where they do business. Protea Hotel by Marriot Mahikeng recently hosted this celebration in a form of a cocktail dinner, organized by the Sales and Marketing Manager, Reitumetse Mathibela, with the objective to appreciate the people who give them business in Mahikeng.

Opening the event, Mathibela said “We appreciate you being here, as we thought to express our deepest gratitude for what you do for us. We want to thank you for the good business throughout the Covid-19 pandemic, we thank you for adhering to the terms and conditions that we had to put in place and we thank you for trusting us with your clients. You have helped us excel in what we do and for that we are appreciative.”

The attendees of the event received gifts and were prepared dinner, and throughout the dinner, the attendees and the event organisers networked as to give each other feedback on their working relationship.

“Hospitality in most cases is telephonic and you never get to have a contact interaction with the people you work with. For me, this is a good platform to know of the complaints that our clients have about our service and to also know how good our services are. This for me is a great platform to take note of the things we need to improve going forward,” said Miss Mathibela. “Overall, I am happy with the outcome of this event and I believe we have achieved the aim of the event,” Miss Mathibela concluded.
