Image Models is a school in Mahikeng for modelling, deportment, and empowering women. Nita Singh, a skilled model with years of experience in the business, started it.
Nita was born and raised in KwaZulu Natal. She says she has always loved modelling, so she joined a well-known modelling agency and got a professional license in modelling and judging beauty pageants. Her ability to transform ungainly and self-conscious people into confident and elegant models is extraordinary, and she plays a significant role in the models' transformation.
Image Models seeks to give young women a sense of belonging and a platform to express their talents, engage in community service, and participate in mentoring programs. Statistics indicate that mentored and well-guided adolescents have a great chance of succeeding in life because they are continuously shown the way and given countless opportunities. Its goal is to educate, cultivate, and empower young women to create a new generation of ambitious and formidable talent. In addition to building their confidence and communication skills, the school provides them with decision-making responsibilities and a platform to develop their leadership abilities.
"The fact that we want to approach things differently distinguishes Image Models. We use this platform to promote their other talents, such as dancing, poetry, and acting, in addition to our primary concentration on modelling. As a result, the models may exhibit their various hobbies and grow more self-assured,” said Nita.
“Girls in every society are affected by violence, adolescent pregnancies, drugs, and negative influences. With the proper skills, these young models are believed to be self-reliant, independent, have a healthy sense of self-worth, and have the confidence to face any challenging circumstance. Women's empowerment increases these young women's confidence in their capacity to lead meaningful and purposeful lives," she continued.
As a model/modelling instructor and pageantry adjudicator, Nita has been able to collaborate with highly influential individuals who have assisted her in assisting disadvantaged children. "I enjoy being able to transform and challenge these young women into ambitious, business-savvy entrepreneurs. I aspire to impact the country's youth development and women's empowerment as a member of Image Models," she said.
Image Models' accomplishments include organizing a successful show at the Mahikeng Mall to give back, mainly because there are no entertainment facilities for children in Mahikeng. Another milestone is that Oabakwe Dibotelo, an Image Models model, is conducting an Educational Show called "State your Mind" on Motsweding FM.
Nita asserts that a successful model must exhibit professionalism, which entails holding herself and her work to the highest standards and consistently arriving on time for photo shoots and events. “It calls on deeper character values of integrity, honesty, and respect for others in addition to just getting the task done. Working hard and putting in long hours is necessary to succeed in the modelling business,” she continued.
Nita says that what she can do to improve society and assist young women in staying away from underage pregnancies and drugs has kept her driven throughout the Image Models journey. She also believes that if she can help just one child, she will make a difference.
According to Nia, young girls should never abandon their aspirations because of their circumstances. "Show determination and passion if you believe in yourself and want to pursue a profession in modelling. Image Models offers an opportunity to people who want to change the world—both for themselves and the community at large," she concluded.
