Amantle Godwin Vikwane is the 2022 DSTV Views Choice Award Winner in the Enriching Lives Award. She currently resides in Rustenburg’s Geelhoutpark. She is also a student at Orbit TVET College doing her final year in Finance, Economics and Accounting. She is also an entrepreneur currently running her small business of washing shoes/sneakers that she calls Kickers Alive, where they Wash, Revamp and Re-design sneakers.

She is also a 2023 Entrepreneur Ambassador for the Allen Gray Family Advocating for Entrepreneurs for students and a 2022 SEDA National Finalist in Pitch for Funding with Kickers Alive. She was also honoured by the Allen Gray Family in Inter College Competition with Kickers Alive as the most promising growing business of the year. She also believes in community-building and that everyone deserves a chance to express their talents and be allowed to self-growth.

Getting an opportunity to have a washing bay at the mall will not only grow her as a person. However, it will also allow her to change several people’s lives by creating employment, contributing to the burning factor called unemployment and saving young people from drowning in the world disease called depression, as she has been a victim of depression. She will also contribute to the social and economic factor called poverty by collecting new shoes. She will do what she does best, which is to wash and revamp so that the mall can help identify community members that support them, and she can be able to give them away.

The growth of Kickers Alive is to see it is visible in every corner of the many malls. However, she wants to start to tell a story with locals, “which is our only best mall, Rustenburg Mall, the chance to tell her unique story platform to address the inequality they face as individuals,” stated Vikwane.

She declared that she was humbled and blessed and felt very grateful for the opportunity provided to her.
